Henna revives, strengthens and protects the hair roots forming an indelible sheath around the hair. The use of henna remains on the surface and does not affect keratin which gives the hair flexibility, shine and a dark mahogany colour.
Henna is a thorny shrub with pale grey branches which grows naturally in the steppes of North Africa, in the Sahara. The use of henna dye is very old and traces of henna are still found today in Egyptian mummies. Henna is well known for its use as a hair dye. Unlike many chemical dyes, you should know that natural henna does not damage the hair. It retains its vitality while at the same time giving shine, flexibility and a radiant colour.
